A multiverse is a branching set of possibilities born out every choice and decision a person makes. This week's episode introduced the reality of the multiverse, at least in the anime series. She knew from the girl's outfit and broken shield that Misaki was a Hoshimori, and that she did not belong to this universe. Kamin Botan, the principal at the Shinjugamine Girl's High School, was the one who found Misaki when the latter first came into their dimension.
